My thoughts and prayers are with all those involved in what is happening in Israel right now. Mark and I talked last night about the way of life in Israel. Can you imagine going to sleep and wondering when the sirens are going to go off and hurrying your family to shelter when they do? Their familes get used to it, but it is terror no less.
I am also so saddened and outraged by the way Hamas shield’s their weapons with innocent lives. Launching rockets from a school house, giving the Israelies no option but to destroy them. But then Israel drops flyers all over town to warn them of impending attacks. It is obvious who cares about their people. When Mark was in Israel, he was touched by their respect and love for life.
Their response has been called disproportionate. I guarantee you, if Canada (which they never would- I love you all my Canadian friends! ) was launching rockets on us, it would be shock and awe, not a “proportionate” response. You don’t reason with a bully, you take them out. I feel awful for the innocent lives being lost, I pray the Palestinians themselves would rise up against Hamas.
I wanted to share this with you from Joel Rosenberg: Here is an article from withing Israel
Psalms 122:6-7 6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure. 7 May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.” NIV
