I was chatting with my friend Leigh this week (one of my best buddies!). She is an awesome Bible study teacher. She was telling me about her study last week and something she said just jumped out at me and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it.
She was talking about this verse in Ephesians:
Eph 6:11-13 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood,
but against principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,
against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. NKJV She said, “so, if it has flesh and blood on it, we are not to fight it.”
That is so simple, yet incredibly profound (she gives the credit to the Holy Spirit because she didn’t even have it in her notes!).
Think about it- does the one you are fighting have flesh and blood on it? Then you are fighting the wrong one.
